Troy is fantastic with the kids. He is friendly and patient and is always willing to help out. His volunteers that help in the classes go above and beyond making sure everyone is having fun and participating. Just a great program and would recommend. One issue came up and it was handled very professionally. Kids always look forward to class and would recommend if you are looking for a great spot in Langley for karate.

We have started attending Safeguard Martial Arts recently and it has been a wonderful experience! Sensei Troy and Sensei Tina have been amazing with making my son feel welcome and engaged. Our daughter started a few months ago with Safeguard and she loves it. She enjoys her classes and all of the different techniques they have been teaching her. She really likes her Sensei’s and earning new belts. We have seen other children she goes to school with also grow in the classes and have begun to find ways to channel their excess energy better. Troy and Tina operate such a well rounded experience. Our son has been attending since 2017 and has grown in confidence, strength, ability and has found a social connection as well. The Dojo is always clean and well equipped. They teach more than just the martial art. There is also a focus on empathy, knowing wrong from right, plus the importance or community and of perseverance. We would recommend Safeguard to any parent as we also have a deep trust in their commitment to safety as well. The entire team reflects everything previously mentioned. It has been a game changer for our son. We will always be grateful to have discovered this place and the people in it.

Attending Safeguard Martial art has been extremely beneficiary to our son. Beside learning karate he has learned self discipline and gain so much confidence in what he can do. I have been attending the kickboxing class offered to teens and adults for about 5 months now after taking the free trial, and the experience has been fantastic. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and have created a learning environment that is welcoming to both beginners and more experienced athletes. Additionally, the monthly fee is incredibly reasonable.
My skill and confidence has improved with each class, and by offering classes in the evening, the instructors have allowed me to easily incorporate regular kickboxing into my busy schedule. I would strongly recommend Safeguard Martial Art's kickboxing class to anyone who is interested in improving their physical health, learning fighting techniques from skilled professionals, and building their personal confidence in a meaningful way.
